I absolutely LOVED getting to spend more time in Ferndale Falls after Moonbound Brides!! Severin trying his absolute best to be a better king so that he and his people can start over in peace and safety was everything- give the poor man his bread!!!!
The trials were a fun aspect of the novel, too. I also loved that Ferndale Falls has all these new magical businesses. Hannah and Severin were perfect for each other and I had so much fun reading!!! I wonder who will be next ๐ค

Cute and Cozy Fae Romance
I enjoyed "Faking with the Fae King" by Krista Luna! Hannah and Severin are our first official couple from the 'Ferndale Falls Forever' series, but I love how Luna connects in her other Orc romcoms. I enjoyed the expanded universe and the overall growth. Hannah is a work-obsessed mayor trying to save a struggling, tiny town when suddenly a fae castle appears in the forests right outside the town. Severin is a recovering villain looking to reconnect with his plant magic and prove that Shadow Fae are no longer the bad guys. Will a fake marriage help both their goals, or will they (and everyone else in Ferndale Falls) find their perfect match?

I was SO excited for this book! The Ferndale Falls Forever series takes part in the same universe as the Brides of the Moon Blade Clan series, which is one of my favorites!! I LOVED seeing our old friends and MCโs, and especially seeing more from our โdark Fae.โ
We were introduced to Severin previously and I HAD to know more. His obsession over finding a good baker was relatable. It also didnโt hurt that the FMC has my name. I felt like I was reading an amazing you-choose fanfic ๐ Hannah and Severin are meant to be. I couldnโt get over how sweet and precious Finn, Hannahโs fox familiar, was. Seeing more of the humans start to come into their power is so exciting! I canโt wait to read more ๐ฅฐ

I loved the play on words for the stores, every time I heard the bookstoreโs name I chuckled, and Finn. That cute and adorable fox of Hannahโs was so sweet, every time he came up and was โyou are my witchโ I was like awwww.

I am already obsessed with how this new series is taking off. Brides of the Moonblade Clan was hard to see end, but now, on earth, we get to see another side of the story and also a continuation of those we've previously seen in Allaria.
The evolution of Severin and Hannah's relationship is full of witty banter, flirtation and down right naughty behaviour.
The two are in it for the benefits of their own people, but things start to heat up pretty quickly. Severin knows how to sweet talk a lady and of course, don't forget the flying and shadow play. There's definitely personal benefits to this coupling of Convenience!
I was absolutely sucked in and have no doubts this series will continue with the amazing storytelling, world building and magic that Krista Luna has brought to us before. I eagerly await the next book!

This was a super fun, spicy romantasy with some solid world building! Hannah was a mess but doing her absolute best and I appreciated that she wasn't a pushover. She had reasonable (and really funny!) reactions to her wacky situations. Severin was indeed as Shadow Daddy as advertised, without being a complete jerk. No notes there. If you like hot, confident men - with the added benefit of ~special~ anatomy features, Severin is for you.
Hannah and Severin's relationship was a great example of faking it for real, with the added goodness of fated mates.
This was an awesome intro for a series, and I can't wait for the sequel. I'm also gonna go check out the tie in series!
