Enjoyed it :) will definitely read the rest of the series.
The ruthless ambition of the characters in this story, and of course in history, is frightening.
Great to have a woman as the central character, often overlooked in history their influence on events is interesting. In a time when being a women meant being owned by your father and then your husband, these women are capable of huge influence on the civil wars despite not getting to the battlefield.
Looking forward to the next book.

I had never read any of this authors books, but at first I was pleasantly surprised by the book. However towards the middle and end of the book I felt that it was just dragging on. It seemed that the plot had come to a stop and for the second half of the book it was a slow crawl to find out a somewhat boring ending. I am interested to know what happens in the next book of the series. so it wasn't all that bad.

The more I do my own research and read non-fiction, the more Philippa Gregory’s books and their creative liberties irk me. Don’t get me wrong, I will probably finish the series just for the entertainment value and enjoyment of these remarkable women. However, PG portrayal of some of my favourite women in history has been less than satisfactory for me.

Reread. Still a great time.
