Reread with my six year old. He enjoyed the adventure and the fairies; I enjoyed the bittersweet musings on childhood, parenting, and the passage of time.

I am baffled by the number of positive reviews for this book. It's awful. Every other sentence is racist or misogynist or sometimes both. It's not whimsical or cute in any way. It's very much of it's time and that's where it should stay.

Oh, Peter Pan. How can I explain someone like Peter Pan? (lol) To be honest, I shed some tears in the end of the book. I feel sad for Peter. If I can, I will stay with him in Neverland and I swear I will never ever leave him. Though there are times that his attitude is bad but it’s because he’s only a kid and no one had ever thought him anything, as in no adult have guided him. But still, I love this boy. I also love the faeries (fact: I believe in them.) though I was quite surprised by Tinker Bell’s attitude.
