Such a fun read omggg!! I loved how we got such hot spice, and how it developed. And I was so happy to see some more emotional substance in the book too.
I had conflicted feeling toward the MMC but in the end I really did like his character and the FMC was such a nice mix of shy, bold and bratty as fuck

Well Well well...

I have found my favorite Salacious owner..

"Being an expert of the ins and outs, if you will."

Garrett, the voyeur, the one who likes to watch. Even as an owner he never indulges with anyone at his club, he just watches. Except watching has landed him on an app and watching someone he shouldn't be watching but he can't stop.

Mia loathes her step brother on the outside but on the inside she has always loved him but he never really sees her, he just sees the annoying little girl whose dad married his mom. Being a cam girl gives her the power, the confidence and most of all it brings her someone she feels she can open up to but she has never seen his face.

“Love isn’t shit. It’s not worth a damn thing. But time, attention, priority…those things are real, and until a man gives you those, don’t give him the time of day, beautiful."

This book has many layers, many!
The step sibling trope and age gap adds to the voyeurism of it all and makes the book that more addicting and not able to be put down. Garrett and Mia are complex, both have their own issues and each had their own way to overcome those but when it gets too much and spills over there is only one person struggling with the worst of it, and to say I was surprised was an understatement.

Garretts struggles with mental health were refreshing and not something that is talked about. The pain and his process to cope are all too familiar and it made my heart ache to read those chapters and feel the emotions. It takes having people that care about you to come and give you that push to keep going forward in this case it was Garretts best friend.

“Someday a man will come along who won’t like what you do. He’ll want you to himself because he thinks you’re nothing more than a body he can control, and it will be because he’s insecure. A real man knows that truly possessing someone is a privilege, and it’s not their body you’ll own. It’s so much more. I want you to know the difference, Mia.”

The surrender of control in this book was AMAZING, if you have read or plan to read you will know exactly what chapter I am talking about! I may or may not have read certain chapters twice because this book is another level of spice to go along with everything else.

I am so happy that I took a chance on a new author and a new series that is centered around the BDSM club aspect.
Now onto the next to see what will go down in the 3rd book, am I in for more spice or spice and emotions?

Spread the head cannon: Emerson has given everyone in his life, including his friends, intense praise kinks.

Someone tell Garrett that I couldn’t keep my eyes on him because I was rolling them at his bullshit. So much so that I nearly gave myself a migraine. “Mia has such a full laugh—full of what, I don’t know.” You cannot make this shit up. At least he’s not borderline boring like Emerson. I shouldn’t be mean to Emerson anymore, I actually loved him in this third act so I guess I’m on board with his whole vibe now. Prior to starting Eyes on Me, I was excited for Garrett, I liked him in Praise. By 5% I wrote, ‘wait, is Garrett a whiny jerk?’. At 32%, I wrote ‘I see, he’s not just a whiny jerk, he’s also an asshole’. He’s serving major entitled frat boy vibes pretty much the whole way. He earned my love once he had his wild caveman, breeding kink moment. You’ll know it when you see it (74%). I knew he still needed his reckoning but I simply can’t refuse a man who says things like that. Of course, he’s fairly hot & steamy the whole time but he periodically says something so cringe & nearly unforgivably stupid and you get snapped right out of it.

On that note, I am officially the captain of the Mia fan club. I loved her every moment. She made this book feel empowering. She’s plus-sized. She’s a sex worker. She’s a powerhouse & a party. There’s nothing to criticize.

Their chemistry was top-notch and the spice was atomic &, frankly, refreshing. So, why 4-stars? Not just because Garret is annoying because Mia may have compensated for that. No, they sealed their fate with the epilogue. Here’s the thing, I have a personal rule. That rule is: anal is not an HEA. You may be asking yourself “why the hell do you need that rule?” and also “what do you have against anal?”. I agree, it shouldn’t need to be said. AND YET. The rule has been invoked a few times. To the second hypothetical question, I have nothing against it. I don’t care if MC have anal sex or do anal play, in epilogues or otherwise. However, doing anal for the first time is not HEA material in the same way that any other sex act wouldn’t be. I can see a world where, somehow, an entire book is leading up to anal and it’s a culmination of their character development and interconnectedness. That would be the exception; not the rule. HEA’s should be for major relationship milestones and I guess if anal is that for the MC, that’s fine. However, this is not that. This is ‘ooo, anal is intimidating and naughty lets do that *wink wink*’. There’s other stuff in the HEA but this is a pet peeve and I am petty so 4-stars it is.
