having read Robert’s more recent writing before this one, i can really see how she’s grown as an author. The plot of this one felt pretty weak and the grammar/mechanics would have benefited from another proofreading…

What a great way to start a series! I have been wanting to read these for a while and it did not disappoint. The spice level is amazing. Watching the relationship change and unfold was so fun.

Don’t know why I really expected myself to like this after I DNFed it the first time but listened to this as an audiobook this time around and was able to finish it! I love erotica and it was definitely hot at times (Katee Robert knows how to write spicy scenes extremely well)  but idk just wasn’t for me. Found myself getting bored of it (lowkey also got so sick of hearing the word daddy 😅) and honestly the dramatized audio took me so out of it-I wouldn’t recommend it tbh. I don’t think I’ll continue the series but who knows. 

But idk if you want “higher stakes” mixed with erotica maybe you’ll like it.
