I might be biased because I’m such a big fan of Kelsey but this book was very good. I started out thinking it was sounding kind of predictable and generic but soon realised there was so much to this story that I did not see coming at all. I love that so much of the story revolves around being at sea sailing and the cool pirate lifestyle that is depicted. Sword fighting on the deck, drinking and singing songs, steering the ship through rough storms, so so cool. I knew the main character was going to be very emotional but the amount of crying she did I didn’t expect that much . In the end it became an endearing trait of hers though and I loved when her sassy side came out too. The main guy has majorly pissed me off, much like the main character, I don’t know how I can forgive him but I will now patiently wait for book two to see if he somehow redeems himself. The cliff hanger at the end was so abrupt. The shock when I turned the page and it was blank and that was the end was like wow Kelsey how dare you. I am torn as to whether this book quite reaches 5 stars but in writing this review and realising how much I have to say about it……it has to be 5 stars. This book was well worth the wait 🧜🏼‍♀️🌊🏴‍☠️
