Absolutely fascinating and unique true crime that digs into the history and geography of the Pacific Northwest in order to try to understand the potential environmental impacts on serial killers. Loved it.

Interesting take on why serial killers were so prevalent, I don’t know that I believe it but I hadn’t heard of it before. Worth the listen if you’re into true crime

Incredibly interesting deep dive into how lead poisoning and other environmental pollutants may have impacted serial killers in the Seattle/Tacoma area in the 60s and 70s. Be warned, the author does go into graphic detail when describing murders. I found myself skipping over sections that were particularly gruesome or when the victims where children. However, the way the book weaves historical fact and speculation with the author’s own upbringing in Seattle during this time period was interesting and well done. I’d recommend this book to anyone interested in true crime, environmentalism, and psychology.
