This was such a wonderful memoir to read! Alice Wong does a lovely job mixing multiple different mediums within her book in order to capture the journey and mission of her life. I particularly liked the funny quotation graphics and they made me chuckle. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone interested in social justice or disability studies. Hoping to read her other book soon!

I was skeptical at the format of this book when I first began reading because I had never read a memoir quite like it. I don’t know if I even thought of it as a memoir even when I was half way through the book. However, I feel like by the end I had a wonderful idea of who Alice is and her worldview. I learned so much about her, her life, and the disabled experience & disability justice in such an organic way. I’m so excited to read more of her work!
