this book healed me

i absolutely love a good redemption arc but i think this book was a lil too gen z if that makes sense LOL with like all the phrasing and things. just kinda made me

Hilarious and heartfelt! The characters are vivid and so relatable and Wallace is every attorney I have ever had the (dis)pleasure of knowing and working with, plus their humanity that they so often try to cover up!!! Such a wonderful story and definitely a favourite of the books read this year. Looking forward to seeing more of this author.

This was so slow from the 20 to 50% mark, but after that, it picked up.

"Le he dicho que puede irse tranquilo al otro lado. Que jamás lo olvidaría y que siempre estaría agradecido por el tiempo que pasamos juntos."

Non recomendo este libro si se está pasando por un duelo, pero uf.

I really liked this book. In true TJ Klune fashion it tugged at my heartstrings and I fell in love with the characters. I really liked the message this book has to tell.
Wallace was such a perfectly flawed character that I thought told the story well. That being said Hugo and Nelson really carried the story and made it get there for me. Hugo as a character was really someone I could connect with and like a lot. Even with all of the sad things that happened in this story I really liked to see Cameron’s character arc and it ended up being one of my favourite parts.

The only reason this wasn’t a 5 for me was that I felt like it was a little slow and it took long to really get to where I wanted it to go. I also sadly read Cerulean Sea before this one which i believe made my expectations just that much higher.

I will say it again. Nobody writes found family quite like Klune and I will continue to be a huge fan of his work.
10/10 would recommend.
