I started off with the audio book, and found the narrator corny and annoying, so I switched to the digital book and ended up enjoying the story.
The prologue played a vital role in setting the hook. Without it, I may have gotten frustrated by the annoying young people. The dialogue was a weakness of the book. It was stiff and odd at times, and hard to tell who was speaking. I think that may have been a translation issue, but think a bit more time developing the characters would have helped. Introducing so many at once didn't help.
However, the plot was engaging. It kept me guessing, sprinkling clues and red herrings skillfully. The reveal was fantastic.
