“Sometimes, instead of looking for all the reasons something’s wrong, we should focus on the things that are right.”

This book was a fantastic ending to the Mountain Men series. Cody and Becky were the perfect couple. All of the colors of the Rainbow

Finally

I liked Cody from the other stories, especially Missy and Bay so seeing his story was perfect. It was also nice that for once he had to fight for her, push her. I know Bay did a little but Cody's was a struggle to the end. The Barnett men have their women. I'm curious about the smoke jumpers and the incoming ink queens.

Great ending to the series but…

This book felt rushed and incomplete. Where’s the resolution with Betty’s family? Why did nothing come of that? The last chapter before the epilogue was cut at an awkward place and definitely killed the book for me.

While I loved Cody and Bett’s relationship, it felt undone at the end of the story. I’m not usually left with this many questions at the end of books so I’m slightly annoyed with this.

Sad that there are no more brothers, but looking forward to the next group! A proudly ridiculous comfort read

Oh, Gemma, how do you write the perfect alphahole cinnamon role?

This series was one that I have really loved since the beginning, and Cody’s book was the perfect ending. Or kind of ending, since it looks like we may be getting books for the other guys in town (hello, hottie smoke jumpers).

I often struggle when characters are kept apart by miscommunication, but I am always amazed at how Gemma handles these situations. It was so easy to see how this misunderstanding would happen and how a woman like Betty could easily think a gorgeous hunk like Cody didn’t really mean “mine” or that she could be jeopardizing her fledgling relationship with her sister. And well, all of us have, at one time or another, found ourselves over our heads in a story/situation we didn’t know how to walk back.
