We might have to read it this year in English... Ugh... at least it's about the Holocaust.... but the Book Thief is still totally much better, even if I haven't read this before!

Well, I guess I haven't hit the bad parts yet. It's actually quite good. Okay. So I haven't posted about this in quite a while. I can't say this book is great, but there haven't been a lot of parts that killed me, you know? It is okay, but not great. Like, go ahead and read it. You might want to skip some parts, but it really isn't as bad as some people say it is. It's something you should read and probably will one day. There are some parts that are actually funny and cute (!) I would really recommend it to all teens and preteens and adults, too. It's a little innapropriate for kids younger than 6th grade, really.

So I finished. I have to say that the end got boring, but it wasn't bad at all. I was going to say that I didn't enjoy the ending, and it wasn't good, but Anne didn't know that they were going to get caught. She just ended a usual day's diary. But yesh, I totally recommend this book to other people...

i hate that this book is considered banned in america. honestly, anne taught me so many things as a kid,
for example she described starting her period at one point, i obviously knew what a period was lmao but i just felt so connected to her for some reason
and its such a good read. shes honestly just an authentic teenage girl and i feel horrible that her diary was published when she didnt want it to be, but its still one of the most important accounts of the holocaust. i wonder how shed feel if she could see her impact on the globe today

I read the unedited version for the first time, and I’m glad I did so. Last time reading was the edited version as a child.

It was a book for school and I ran out of time to read, the book itself was great šŸ‘
