Read it for school but honestly so good

Half of this i was so confused, but isn't that truly what inside a girls head makes you feel like? I fear that ending was so abrupt and really makes you think that she never know that was going to be her last entry. Also amazing to see the inside of a girls head around my age and relate to her along the way.

Everytime Anne spoke about after war, it made my heart break into zillion pieces. Everytime she mentioned about how scared she is, how trapped she is, how she wishes to perceive the nature... All the times she said she felt awful for being ungrateful when all I can remember Anne as the most understanding, mature and wise Anne. I wish everyone lost to this horrendous actions on the innocent, rest in peace. I wish everyone who survived to find peace. I dreaded the end of the book, through and through. I wish the diary never ended.

amazing

So, funny story. I was in Amsterdam, on a tour with some friends (all of whom had to read this in high school - which I never did) and we went on the tour and at the end I decided to get the book. It was amazing, sad, but really eye opening... and I think it was an even bigger experience because as I was reading it I could picture her home because I had been there.

What I found most interesting was the amazing transition in her writing from early on and then two years later. What initially included what seems like everyday normal teenage angst and complaints develops into much more self introspection and deeper thought. Very sad to not have been able to see what she would have done had she not been killed.

Decided to reread after last reading 3+ decades.
