My professor didn’t assign the full text #fakereader

To be weak is miserable,
Doing or suffering.

My absolute only problem with this text is how it does vary from Biblical theology here and there, which would be fine if students assumed that reading the Bible would be, at least, educational from a humanities perspective. Instead reading it and discussing in class I had to listen to how "stupid" it all was and that made enjoying this text hard.

I'd like to return to it in the future and am hopeful I'll be glad to give it five stars.

Finishing this text means the end of an era for me. And what a good time it was, reading this epic poem! I took a class devoted exclusively to Milton's works this semester, hoping to slog through this one. I didn't expect to enjoy it so much! Paradise Lost gave me so many interesting ideas about faith, God, and Christianity. And in the end, I think it raised far more questions than it answers– the mark of a deeply intelligent and important work.

i too can write lengthy biblical fan fiction...ur not special mr milton
