A great look behind the scenes of the greatest comic strip of all time. I especially enjoyed the 35-page interview with the notoriously media-shy Watterson. Amazing stuff!

OMG! "New" Calvin and Hobbes! And a lengthy interview with Bill Watterson!! I'm in heaven. Cancel all my appointments, hold all my calls. I'll see you all on the flip side. Update upon completion: A thoroughly enjoyable insight into the man and the work, in no small part because Bill Watterson was such a mystery to his fans during the comic's run. Calvin and Hobbes was such a memorable part of my childhood, and now my daughter is reading my books and finding a love for the boy and his tiger as well. Reading this catalogue taught me more about the man who grew up 20 minutes away from where I now live, and gave me an even deeper appreciation for my favorite comic ever.

The official catalog of the "Calvin and Hobbes" collection exhibition, including a in-depth interview with Bill Watterson and many classic C&H strips. A must-have for any "Calvin and Hobbes" fan.

A fun and informative look back at such a groundbreaking comic strip. Since this book acts as a companion to a physical exhibit that existed at one time in The Billy Ireland Cartoon Library & Museum, the manner in which the material is organized and presented made me feel much like I was perusing it in person. The most exciting inclusion here is a 35-page interview with notoriously press-shy Watterson himself, which covers the beginnings and influences of Calvin & Hobbes as well as his childhood and early career in the comics world. Not a whole lot of new information for die-hard fans, but still a very enjoyable read.

Ah... the memories! I loved Calvin and Hobbes growing up, and reading this retrospective brought back all of the memories of why I loved it so much! It was nice to read an actual interview with Bill Watterson... he doesn’t give very many.

The companion book to the museum collection at Ohio State with an interview with Bill Watterson. Includes strips of the comic and tools of the trade and the elements of the comic. This is childhood and the best comic of all time.

A real treat to be able to get such an in-depth interview from Watterson. Some of the glimpses at his early work (early drafts of Calvin + Hobbes, and some other strips) are very welcome too.
