So funny, very endearing, and I couldn't put it down. I do hope that JJ stops doubting herself so much. The twist that happens in her life was totally unexpected. I balled my eyes out!

I was really excited to read this book. I read so many good things about it and the author even "friended" me here on Goodreads which I though was really cool. After the first few books I read this year tanked I was still optimistic but also cautious.

I have this weird policy about my YA books where they can't be under 16. It's one of my many quirks, if I can live with it, you can. So imagine my surprise and dismay when the book goes back to the very early teen years. Ugh.

It was perfect. The reader gets the story from the beginning and the best part? I felt like I was sitting down with a friend and she was telling me about her life and who she ends up with. As if I'd reveal that part!

One of the reasons I enjoyed this book is because it felt real. It wasn't all roses and rainbows. There were real issues that had to be dealt with.

I found myself sneaking in chapters while at work. A definite sign that I was immersed in JJ's world and story.

Like life there were times to be happy and times to be sad. Times to cheer and times to be stoic. Times where you say "did that just happen?" and times you say "oh, I've done that."

A well-written, honest look at what could be anyone's life. Characters that you want to be and want to be friends with. The perfect read to put you in a good mood.

I impulse purchased this book because it was $2.99 in the Kindle store & it had a cute cover. I'm so glad I decided to judge it by its cover - it was such a cute book!! I loved the characters & I loved the way the story was told and I LOVED the cute little doodles! It definitely kept me guessing & I even found myself sobbing through a very rough & unexpected twist (which, to be honest, I'm still not sure really needed to happen). Now I want all of my friends to read it. Is it really only available as an e-book?

this is probably one of the worst books I’ve ever read, I was hoping it’d get better or a plot would start to form but it never did

Usual see-sawing NA novel where the character’s flakiness, AKA “figuring oneself out,” got on my nerves. Do I bang this friend or that friend? Wait—that might ruin the friendship(s). But they’re so hot. (If this were a Roni Loren novel, there would’ve been a threesome, LOL.) It doesn’t matter, really, because she sleeps around, anyway.

It’s small-town life—everyone knows everyone else’s business—where all the parents are trying to find matches for their kids like it’s Regency-Era England or something. Besides, getting married as a senior in college is just not a good move.

Not gonna bother with the rest of the series.

One of my new favorites! I love Jillian's style of writing and story telling. She dragged me in and had me hooked.

Okay - so JJ started out cute and funny - she was a kid. But she never grew up and by the end it drove me crazy!

This book was SOOO good! I mean it wasn't really a book of substance, but it just made me really happy and it was so cute and oh my gosh phillip. I feel like this book was just really true to life at a lot of points but at the same time my main issue was that JJ (the protagonist) never really seemed to mature much in terms of the way she thought which was odd since we saw her from like third grade to 24ish. But regardless, a great book for getting out of a slump or the beach!

Overall, I'd def recommend, but I don't think I'll be picking up the second or third book in the series since this one ended so well.

3.5 ish stars - I got really sucked in there about halfway through. Although, there were a lot of weird things that made me stop... I feel very confused about their ages because one chapter was saying that she had her 14th birthday in 7th grade... which isn’t accurate unless she was held back a few years. There were definitely parts that could have been shortened and others that needed a bit more explanation to them, but I felt like I was on an emotional rollercoaster for half the book. Quick easy read.
