This book was amazing. So much passion. Was written as the inner monologue / diary format it seems. Really captures the self conversations. Whimsical romance, realistic events, and so much friendship. I love this story.

This is a pretty cute story. I was at first not a big fan of how it started off with them being kids and then slowly went through their whole life. I see why it was done, but it also made things move really slow. JJ annoyed me many times… but I think that’s exactly how you’re supposed to feel about her.

This was part of my Crafting While Listening to An Audiobook list. Superb, superb, SUPERB narration by Lisa Cordileone. She is, without a doubt, a great narrator. Through her voice, the story came alive in ways I have not yet found in an audiobook.
I totally fell in love with this story. Written in a narrative form of a diary/memories, it takes us through J.J's life starting with her very first kiss by "that boy". What follows this event is a story rich in emotions and a feeling of reality that it truly made me feel as if it was a story based on real life people. It was simply brilliant. I laughed, I cried, I swooned and yes, I even went "awwww!"

I didn’t mind the first couple chapters but then the book just kept going. The main character was so annoying and I also didn’t like the other two love interests. reminded me of the type of writing that comes from a 6th grade girl writing her first wattpad story.
This book was a little slow to start. I don’t love reading about teens, but you really need the back story. I was just thinking of quitting when bam her parents die unexpectedly and then I was hooked. I was crying along with them.
This is the book that got me hooked on the friends-to-lovers trope. Jillian eloquently writes this story. It's so beautiful, yet there are also heartbreaking moments. She really makes you feel. I love that this story is told via a timeline in chronological order. I thought that was genius for really helping the readers be able to relate and connect with the character. I really felt like I was growing up with JJ, Philip, and Danny. I was bamboozled when I was reading this, I totally thought I had it pegged who JJ was going to end up with, though I'm a bit sad it didn't work out for them I am happy that she ended up with who she did, there really was no other option. Her proposal was something that girls dream about. I am begging you guys to read this, it's so amazing it's hard for me to articulate all my thoughts about this. There were sweet and tender moments, funny moments, I'm going to rip out my hair moments, I want to cry forever moments, whatever you can think of, it's likely in there.
*sigh* so romantic.
The writing style was different to anything I've ever read.
It's kind of like a diary.
This contemporary is beautiful and sweet.
It was a great read.
