This book is just plain charming.

It'll make you laugh, it'll make you swoon, it'll probably make you cry a little, too.

I love Phillip, I love Danny and I love JJ. Their relationship is adorable and amazing.

Perfect summer read!

This book felt like a mix of reading a journal entry and watching a Hallmark movie. It was well-written, but because the plot took place throughout the main characters entire life the chapters felt more like summaries.

Jillian Dodd is ridiculously good at writing the perfect little guilty pleasure book.
That Boy was cute and sweet and then BAM it takes your breath away and makes you cry and then BAM again it's back to being this sweet fun story.

I truly enjoy reading her stories.

Very eh. The main character just seemed pretty shallow all the way through despite (SPOILERS) losing loved ones at an age where it had major impacts on her and having to learn how to take care of herself without basically any prior knowledge about how the world really works. That may be because of the narrator too, but the writing style just was not my favorite. It was written to be like diary entries, which is fine. But the language style and word choice did not seem to change as she got older, which made it fairly strange to listen to when she is an adult. I won't be reading further.

It was kinda lame. scratch that IT WAS LAME, and believe me I like Lameness as long as it's cute and sweet. Well, this one was not apparently. And pleeeeeease

Who would think how hot a boy is when her parents were dead.!!! JJ -_-

. I know she was shocked and so on, but believe me I felt more shocked than her. :/

It was kinda frustrating, JJ was either dumb or spoiled and I hate those the most, and of course Phillip is sweeeeet and the 2 stars are just for him :D.
