Love
I absolutely loved this book, once I started it there was no putting it down until I finished. Can’t wait to see what happens next.

I'm in two minds about this book, it was a nice story but I didn't really like the way it was written, speaking directly to the reader. I didn't listen via audiobook so maybe the narrator made an impact with her "immature" sounding voice. Or maybe this book was meant for a younger teenage crowd?
The first few chapters definitely felt like a grown woman trying to write as a child as it felt too sophisticated and complex. I felt this book could have been better if it was written in first person without speaking to the reader.
The ending was definitely strange, didn't feel romantic, felt a bit nuts.
Good bones but needed better execution to be higher than average stars.

Terrible. Every cliche in the book, boring, awful main character. Books like this make me wish I could quit books part of the way through.

This was probably the sixth time I’ve read this book since middle school? And it’s as amazingly awful every time
could not get past chapter 4, I did not like the narration, it was annoying. I am usually the kind of person that has to finish reading a book once I've started it and I could not do it. Especially since my sister read it and said it never got any better to her, so I deleted it out of my library.
This was part of my Crafting While Listening to An Audiobook list. Superb, superb, SUPERB narration by Lisa Cordileone. She is, without a doubt, a great narrator. Through her voice, the story came alive in ways I have not yet found in an audiobook.
I totally fell in love with this story. Written in a narrative form of a diary/memories, it takes us through J.J's life starting with her very first kiss by "that boy". What follows this event is a story rich in emotions and a feeling of reality that it truly made me feel as if it was a story based on real life people. It was simply brilliant. I laughed, I cried, I swooned and yes, I even went "awwww!"

I have to say that the cover selection and marketing for this book were fantastic. Based on the totally cute and relatable cover image I was very optimistic going into this book. This optimism carried me through almost half of the book until I realized the unrelateable characters and plot were not going to improve.
Gooey feelings? Cliffhangers? Yes. But the voice of this hot, small town tomboy was so naive and rather unintelligent that it was almost insulting. I couldn’t tell if the author was one of those girls in real life, or looked up to one from the outside, but Jadyn just did not ring true. I could identify more with a female vampire protagonist or a male protagonist than this representation of your average small town girl.
