This book was everything I love about reading YA fiction. I'm kind of new to this genre and have been burning through books lately, unable to get my fill of them. This one just sparked the right note and balance between angst and sweetness. I love how well the characters are developed. I felt like Jillian did an amazing job and making JJ, Phillip and Danny all lovable and likable characters. I was torn between who I wanted her to be with through the whole book but kind of felt like I knew who she would end up with in the end.
My one complaint is that I felt like the second half of the book, (the after college years), had a totally different feel than the first half. I felt like there wasn't enough build up between JJ and the boy she chose (I don't want to give too much away) and that it was kind of rushed. I didn't get that swooney feeling I wanted when the two of them were getting together like I did earlier in the book. But I still loved it and I still give it 5 stars because I would totally recommend it to anyone who loves YA fiction and I will probably re-read it! I also love that I got it for the sale price this month of $2.99! I would have paid more for it if I knew about it and how good it was going to be. Took me about 6 hours to read through it (with interruptions by my 1 and 3 year olds!). That was record time for me!

You know, this book wasn’t perfect. It was far from it BUT some parts were actually kind of cute. And it was PG-13 and saved me from cringing over awkward sex scenes which I super appreciated!!! It was overall a 2.5 for me, I still don’t love romance books but this wasn’t the worst one I’ve ever read.
I took this on as a light read. It was just ok. The writing felt very rudimentary. I know it starts out from a kid’s perspective but even as JJ grows up it doesn’t change much. Plus I despise her running monologues and plans that never turn out as she had thought.
Like reading a girl's diary... how she fell in love with the boys next door! Really cute and sweet book. JJ is a little nerve wracking but you realize that really, only one boy is capable of taming the wild and wily JJ. :)
Awww
I really liked this :D
got the next one ready to go

surprisingly addictive, I usually don't love friends to lovers, but the slow burn and writing was good
Sweet sweet fluff
Love this book, actually I loved the set of them. It’s the fluff I didn’t know I needed. Just the right amount of angst in a very sweet story. The characters are funny and sweet and loyal, I love how oblivious Jadyn is but how her guys still watch out and love her.
