Did you that only .3% of the population is identical twins? So why, pray tell, are twins in like 80% of thrillers? I’m so fking over secret twins. It’s such a cheap and cheesy trope. The laziest plot device after “memory loss.” (At least memory loss exists with some degree of commonality tho) Anyway, I dnf-ed on page 137. 1.5 stars because I spent a few seconds considering sticking with it instead of immediately tossing in the trash.

The Main Character was my first book from Jaclyn Goldis, and I actually didn’t even read the summary. I saw “homage to Agatha Christie” and I was sold immediately. Also, look at this cover? Plus, I’m a sucker for a train ride. 🤭 This book was a no-brainer for me, and I really enjoyed it! I read it in one sitting, with train and Amalfi coast ambiance videos on to really set the mood. I enjoyed the plot, the characters, the drama, and all the twists along the way. And there were PLENTY of jaw-dropping moments to keep me entertained. I had no clue how it was all going to wrap up, but man was it a wild train ride! I found it to be an exhilarating and entertaining read. Check it out if you’re looking for an atmospheric murder mystery.
