Book #108 read in 2024

I tend to be drawn to books about failing pop groups, and this definitely fits the mold. Vienna, Madison, and the rest of the members of the Bittersweet, are on their way home from an event when tragedy strikes. Their van crashes in the middle of a blizzard, leaving all of them fighting for survival. As the title indicates, only one makes it out alive, but you must first get through all the twisty drama to figure out who it is. Hannah Mary McKinnon is a master at suspense and thrillers. This one is no exception.

Thank you to the publisher for the digital review copy. All opinions expressed in this review are my own. This novel was published on July 16, 2024.

Vienna and Madison expand their music duo into a girl pop-rock band, ready for their big break. On the way to an event, the van transporting the band crashes, leaving some stranded, injured, and dead in the midst of a snowstorm. When help finally comes, only one girl remains - and another is missing. This story gives you a glimpse into the past and the events that led up to the crash, showing us how not everything is what it seems.

This book was impossible to put down. I loved the flashbacks between what was currently happening. I just felt like the book was too long and the twists were just a little much. But the first 60% of the book was fabulous. I was provided an advanced copy of this book which did not affect my review.

The Bittersweet are an all-girl rock band on the brink of major success when their van goes off the road during a blizzard. The crash survivors find a remote cabin, but they aren't all going to survive the night.

This was SO FUN to listen to - loved all of the twists - perfect vacation book!
