I wish they had held off on this book until after part 2 so that more of the last two movies could be included

This was one of my Christmas gifts, and I spent most of Christmas day reading this book. It is full of many cool things. There are little envolopes that have a bunch of stuff from the movies. Harry's acceptance letter to
Hogwarts, the Maurader's Map, Dolores Umbridge's educational decrees. You can't understand my delight as I turned each page to find... stuff. Really cool stuff.

All of the main characters have their own page, giving you information about the actor who plays them, how that actor was chosen for the role and, in cases such as Alastor Moody and Lord Voldemort, how they were transformed into their character. To some people, I can see how this might sound a little boring. It isn't. This book, this awesome book is highly recommended to anybody who is even slightly interested in Harry Potter. Even if you still think that it's boring, get for the things that come with it. Ever wanted to read the Marauder's Map? Here's your chance. And it also has snapshots from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2. These pictures show The Room of Requirement before and after Fiendfyre is set to it and The Room of Requirment in it's Dumbledore's Army hideout form. It also has many concept art drawings of pretty much everything. Pretty much every page has concept art drawings of characters, creatures, and structures.

Seriously, any fan of Harry Potter would be practically drooling over this book if they had any sense at all. It is highly enjoyable and it points out small details that are in the movies that you never noticed before. It is a seriously awesome book.

What a delight for Harry Potter fans! In the format of a faux scrapbook, this collection of photos, interviews, costume sketches, and documents that you can take out of precious envelopes and explore (the marauder map! Harry's invitation to Hogwarts! I.d. cards!) gives you an almost magical experience. The book is about the making of the movies, and I was surprised by a lot of the film wizardry such as Hogwarts actually being a model only about 7 feet tall. This makes a lovely piece of any Potter fan's collection, but I'm not half as interested in film production and what's going on behind the scenes as I am with the original experience, so I didn't read the whole thing. I'm the kind of person who can't believe anyone wants to view the bonus material at the end of a movie, so the fact that I read even half of this says a lot. Treat it with care; it's fragile!

This book. THIS BOOK. It's seriously one of the best things I own. It made me feel ALL THE THINGS. It's basically like a giant scrapbook full of information & photographs about the films & characters, thoughts from actors, directors & designers, behind-the-scenes, concept art, sets, and (paper) props scattered throughout the book.

You might think that this is one of those books with a lot of pictures and almost no text, but that's not the case with this one! There is actually a lot of information, more than I expected. The font is pretty small as well, so a lot of text fits on each page. Also, the book smells a bit weird, but I kind of like it.

I'm going to have to give this book 4 out of 5 stars instead of 5 out of 5, unfortunately. Because it was published in 2010, it doesn't have much on the Deathly Hallows films, which is disappointing. Though it's a really smart way to make us all buy the sequel, Harry Potter Page to Screen, which I'm definitely going to do once I grow a money tree, because that one is even more expensive than the first one.

It's a book of amazing quality, and it's pretty expensive, but it's totally worth the money. Harry Potter Film Wizardry is a must-have for all Harry Potter fans.
