“I don’t have to fucking like you to own you. There’s no affection between us. You’re mine. Your mouth is mine. Your cunt is mine. Every fucking thought that runs through your head belongs to me.”

i‘m so bored it‘s unbelievable..
nothing sticks out to me not the characters, not the „tension“ (that’s not there) & not the story.

i‘m trying to dnf books more often so this is a no for me:)

I will admit when I started this book with the MMC I was like "what a spoiled rich kid loser" and then I pretty much carried on with that until about 80% through. Even though I basically thought he was a sociopathic w*nker I couldn't put it down.

Genuinely this girl must have beer flavoured nipples because every guy she meets is hot for her and that's not even the least realistic thing about it.

However if you want a dark romance with some dubious consent and smoking hot MMC who totally deranged then you too will quite it enjoy this.

Genuinely I couldn't put it down.

It drops stars for being too neat and tidy in the end (how does EVERYONE - who matters - get a HEA?), some seriously unbelievable hot rich kid lifestyle and a girl with no self preservation.

Violet was in a bad car accident and had to give up her focus on dance.  She was finally able to return to college but not the dance team.

Greyson transferred colleges due to some past "issues" that got in the way of his hockey career.  Changing schools would mean a fresh start.

When these two first see each other at the same school, intertwined with the same people, their worlds are rocked.  Violet just wants to avoid Greyson while he wants to make her life miserable.

So this story is an interesting one, to say the least.  I liked it, but felt it went on too long.  The majority of the book is about the hatred and angst between Greyson and Violet.  When things there are cleaned up and truths are revealed, it's like the story should've ended up didn't.  There was one more twist to the story that honestly, I don't feel was necessary.  It wasn't like one of those "I did not see that coming" but rather "I'm not exactly sure why that had to be added in there" type of thing.  It's still a good book though.

Yes it’s a bully romance, but it is NOT a slow burn. The dark aspects of this book are primarily around consensual non-consent (CNC) that really toes the line of being CNC or SA. It is a dual POV book so you get the FMC’s and MMC’s perspective. They do eventually get to establishing a safe word. This book
does have
a HEA and can be read as a stand alone.

For this one, I was unimpressed by the story and I could not be impressed by the MMC at all. I hared his guts and it's hard for me to read a romance novel when I don't vibe with one or more of the main characters or they are unlikable.

I think for me, bully romances have to be done really well.

I'm still gonna give the other books a try because I've heard good things as a series but I won't read in order, I'll read them as standalones and gravitate towards whichever ones interest me the most.
