I could have given this book 5 stars. Unfortunately my recurring problem with S Massery is that her books start so slow for me that it's a struggle to stay interested until it gets good.
But once the good parts start? Oh it's on and I can hardly put it down until I finish.
Greyson acted like such a five year old at times and it was hard for me to get past him punishing Violet for doing literally nothing wrong. It was such a relief to get some POV on him and his actions and made it so much easier to engage and get invested.
I'm definitely reading the rest of this series at some point.

3.25 - the opening chapter made me FURIOUS he got off way too lightly wHO DOES THAT. i wish the depictions of chronic pain were a bit more consistent. the plot twist was a little nuts. the spice spiced though teehee
DNF at 40% - This book is waaaay too long for what it is. It needed to be cut by 300 pages.
And bully romance is only good when the bully has a tragic backstory that makes his behavior and attitude at least somewhat understandable.
Greyson is just a spoiled narcissist with daddy issues.
It made him boring and his actions pointless.

I like dark romances and some bully is okay to me, but sexual assalt is not something that I can accept. I DNFed this one after a little over ten%, after the scene where her grabed her, for me that was enough.
Don't know if I'll continue this series or not. The audio was great but the plot me was a no.

The only word that comes to mind for this book is 'Toxic'. It scares me to think there might be men in the world like this....
I am going to say it this book is my number 1 dark read of 2022. This book is full of everything I love, toxic relationship, enemies to lovers and twists and turns I did not expect. I could not put this book down. Violet is working her way through some major life changes she never expected. She's lost the one thing that gives her purpose and she hates Greyson. Greyson hates Violet, he sees her and the reason he's had to change so much in his life. She effected things he didn't want effected. This two are magnetic and just, I cant put into words. If you love a dark college romance this is the book for you and you need to get it now

Greyson just made me feel icky inside. I don’t know what it was, I’ve read characters who have done much worse, he was just a big no. Violet just pissed me off.
That’s really all I can say. Would not recommend.
I don’t really know anything about ballet but her getting the lead in some big production after she had to take 7 months off because of her injury and was told that she was done dancing, doesn’t make much sense to me.
