I don’t normally read this style of book but I really enjoyed it and took a lot of helpful tools out of it.

I didn't love the opening of this book because while the author was trying to establish his credibility, it in fact did the opposite. Anytime nonfiction books begin by explaining why they are credible for the topic, I instantly think...why do they need to convince me? I much prefer the personal bits at the end. Once we got past that, I began to really enjoy the book more. I thought that he brought in a lot of practical tips and real-life applications for the things he was saying. I appreciated the references to his research and scientific backing. However, the book dipped again in the back half, and I think it's because he stopped giving tangible tips and actions to do, and it was more philosophically based. At the end of the day, I do feel like I took away some valuable information and tools for how to improve habits and new ways to look at them and therefore I am glad to have read this book.

This was a great book! It wasn't too long and that is always nice with self help books... if they go on too long I tend to zone out. This book had great suggestions about habits and the examples were spot on. It all really resonated with me.
The book really simplified how you can make changes to your life and meet your goals.

More accurately a 3.5.

This was a quick and enjoyable listen with simple explanations behind how to create good habits, how to eliminate bad ones, and how to keep up with the changes you make in your life to be the person you want to be. A lot of what's presented in this book is common sense, but hearing it explained and having real life examples helped to hammered things home.

I think what I liked most about the book was the emphasis on making small, simple changes and how focusing on the routine and the process over the final goal yields more success. This is explored in many different ways through out the book and certainly helps the reader to feel motivated to make the changes they are seeking to make.

Clear mentions his website several times through out the book, where there are many additional resources, and even an Atomic Habits workbook one can buy to jumpstart the changes they want to make.
