Short and mostly sweet, broken by occasional violence (but, never fear, the Lilywhite Boys* are here!). Very nice to see an ace relationship represented.
*The cover description of them as overly violent fairy godmothers is rather apt.

After starting and DNFing three books in a row, I decided it’s time to turn to a couple of titles from KJ Charles I stashed for this exact situation.
And boy, am I glad I did that, because The Rat-Catcher’s Daughter propelled me straight out of the reading slump. It’s really good. For such a compact read it packs a lot, with its sweet soft romance and exciting action. Loved it!
