Un thriller contado de una forma diferente, que eso ya es un plus, bien escrito y con personajes interesantes aunque algunos muy poco desarrollados para mi gusto. Y el final un poco meh, esperaba algo más. Lo he leído muy despacio porque he tenido poco tiempo para dedicarle pero realmente no me ha aburrido en casi ningún momento. Leído en inglés, desconozco si se ha editado en español. Realmente sería un tres estrellas y media más que cuatro.

A serial killer's wife dies from cancer. His parents-in-law evict him from the house, and now he and his daughter need to move. There's just one small problem: he's got a woman chained in the shed out back, and she's somehow got to come with them.
What follows from here is one of the most compelling thrillers I've ever read. Not a single chapter is written from the killer's POV: they're all written from the women in his life. He is, in effect, a plot device at the center of the story, his story, but not at all about him. The pacing is quick, the premise is interesting, and the writing style is fucking brilliant. It's ripe for analysis and, honestly? It would make for a great high school AP English/Literature study.

It could have been a decent story if it hadn’t been stretched out so much. Sometimes, authors of psychological thrillers extend the plot so far that it undermines the entire premise.
