Okay, this was pretty enjoyable. It was an easy read with low stakes which I can appreciate. I feel this could have been shorted but that’s neither here nor there. It didn’t drag massively so I can’t complain. The problems with the FMC’s family were interesting to follow and probably one of the highlights of this book.
Now, I fear the only mistake I made here was the whole Brothers thing. I’m not opposed to the FMC’s love interests being brothers, although I prefer to avoid that, I don’t completely hate it. It only got uncomfortable when I realised they were doing group scenes? Um, yeah. Obviously nothing happened between them but it still felt icky and morally (? Ethically?) questionable. And I did try to pretend it wasn’t the case but the author just loved to remind us in every other sentence.
Nonetheless, I’m still pretty pleased with this.

Jamie is one of the least likeable FMCs I have read in a long time. The boys were lovely.
Now I understand being unbelieving that these men could be into you but these guys were bending over backwards to make her realize this wasn't fake to them and just... Nothing. She was like watching a baby deer. It was exhausting.

Jamie is not a girlie girl, wanting all the frilly things. She’s happiest getting her hands under the hood of a car working in her best friend’s big brother’s garage. Having everyone’s eyes on her and dealing with her mother’s criticism is enough to make her run for the hills. Jamie’s brother’s engagement becomes the perfect opportunity for her mother to reinsert herself in Jamie’s life, placing stress where it doesn’t belong and belittling Jamie for ways she believes Jamie is deficient. Now that Jamie has conjoured three relationships out of thin air, she’s going to have to figure out how to make that claim a reality, and her bestie’s brothers my be the men for the job, but there is more there than meets the eye. I loved seeing Jamie stay true to herself as she navigated the individual and group situations she found herself in. I enjoyed how refreshingly excited and earnest the guys were. I also loved that the McDonald house was a respite and source of comfort for all who came through the doors. Though parts of this were hard to ‘enjoy’ as Jamie’s mom is a difficult person to like, it’s easy to love because the guys are amazing, Jamie finding love and support where she could gave me all the feels, and now I can’t wait to read about Millie!

Swoon!
What a fantastic read! Such relatable characters. I’m sure hoping to see Millie getting a book

This author must have a horrible relationship with her mother. The Mom always seems to be enemy number 1 in most of Sam Halls books.
I like the heroine in this one, she knows what she wants and has made it happen. I also can kind of get with the premise that the brothers all secretly wanted the FMC. The issue I have with a bunch of Brothers going after 1 girl is that the group scenes pretty much freak me out. And it seems like these books always have at least one group scene.
I did love the custom suit on the FMC.

I love the way Brock, Hayden, and Hunter all were amazing at protecting Jamie from her terrible mother. And supported her to be who she wanted to be and not try to fit into societal norms.
