This book was outside of my typical comfort zone for genres. It was my first true romance novel, and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. I really loved to see the growth and development of the characters, particularly Simon. I also thoroughly enjoyed the range of emotions experienced by many of the characters throughout the novel.

I'm not quite sure what to think of this book, it's an easy read, the start is fun and quite typical for a romance. But once Simon and Daphne get together they both do some pretty problematic things, don't get the hype around the books to be honest.

Having already watched the TV drama of this book I knew roughly what to expect, but as I usually find the book was definitely better.

It's full of high society dramas and scandals and I'm here for it all. I love period drama and Historical fiction but this has the extra scandal in it that makes it like Modern Historical Fiction.

I really loved all the characters and how Feisty Daphne's mum is, she's not taking any prisoners.

I love how protective Daphne's brothers are of their whole family but are the a little too over protective?

I also love the extra Epilogue in this book, it carries on the story perfectly and I am now very excited to listen to books two.
