This series is completely losing me. All the characters are stupid. Especially the MMC. I really don’t like him. He’s mean and makes stupid decision after stupid decision. If it weren’t for some of the supporting characters, he would’ve had everyone killed and there’s something so weak and sorry about the whole thing. I don’t know. I think she just made her characters way too unlikable so that even from a dark romance perspective, this guy has nothing going for him.

Like I knewww I wouldn't like this but I still wanted to see how it ended after all the stuff that happened in the end of book 1

There was a lot going on basically and a lot of thoughts but no action especially from our main man Drew. For me, he cannot be redeemed, even when he is professing love etc he is being selfish and I cannot abide by that, here is one quote
"If I want to carry you around for the rest of my life, then I will. You're my woman, Bel, and I'll do whatever I please with you."

Notice how he's not thinking whether she want to be carried? Its different when you want something compared to when you are being forced to do something. I know its minor but this is one of the stuff I picked up about Drew that made me unable to like him, there are a lot of more of course, another one being
Spoiler HE DRUGS HER WITHOUT TELLING HER because for their plan to work she has to "look surprised" but he made her feel scared and when she saw the syringe and asked him what he was, inside of dude to explain what was happening he just drugged her

Felt sorry for Bel, her brother was a douche and so was her man and she was just letting them do whatever to her like girly :( however she mentioned that she was not like other girls so *shrugs*. Also Bel kepy telling us she had changed but I didn't see it?

At the end of the book, it went longer than it needed to? I think the author was trying to set up book three so introducing all these new characters etc :( and then when it finally ended there were two epilogues, both in Drew's POV :( so yeah that was fun

Oh and there was a bit where it turned into beautiful disaster Drew suddenly becoming a boxer, he does this one time and wins and this is never repeated or talked about again but then this led to the worse smut scene ever
Spoiler he makes her ride his boot?! bare in mind that's he's favourite pair of shoes sooooo he wears them all the time, he didn't clean it beforehand, the whole time I reading that my face was like I had just sucked a lemon, fun stuff

Overall, I did not enjoy and I shall not be repeating :)

DNF at 59%

I'm so sick of these books where the FMC is mad at the MMC for causing emotional AND physical pain but just can't resist his big c*ck. Girl find yourself some self respect and move on from this toxic ahole. DNF.

Thank you so much J.L Beck for an ARC of this book.
It was one of my most anticipated reads this year. I was so excited to continue Drew and Bel’s story after that wild cliffhanger in The Wallflower. It absolutely did not disappoint. Bel- this poor girl has it rough. She goes through some tough shit, but it only makes her grow out of her shell. She becomes stronger and bolder. She finds finds her voice. I loveddd watching her relationship develop with Sebastian. It was honestly one of my favorite parts in this book. I can’t wait to read his book now more than ever! Now let’s get to our much loved villain, Drew motherfckn’ Marshall. Ugh this man. He completely fucked up and he knows it. He also refuses to let the thought of Bel slipping away ever become a reality. He knows what he has to do for them to get their HEA. This most def. includes lots of groveling. As it should! My heart really broke for him even in this book. There’s so much he has gone through that reflects on who he is as a person. I loved his realizations to the feelings he has for Bel. There’s a major twist in the story that had me shocked and I just stared at my kindle, rereading to make sure I was actually grasping what was happening. It was insane. I loved this book so much. This series is going to be one of my favorite’s, and I can’t wait for all the roomies to get their books.
