I feel like there was a missing piece between how drew felt in book one compared to where book two picked up, when it comes to his feelings about Bel. I didn’t feel love from him at the end of book 1, but at the start of book 2 he was ready to change everything for her. That continued throughout most of book 2 still with too much unanswered questions or plot lines. Still, once I hit 30% I couldn’t put it down.
85%: the whole unconscious thing is weird and I’m not vibing with it lol
The end was…WHAT.

Lots of unanswered questions like who is Drew’s real parents and the whole poison situation made no sense. The spice was great but the story was a mess.

I liked this story. After having so many questions left from the first book this book answered all of them. It picks up right where the last one left off. I loved these characters so much. I highly recommend

DID NOT FINISH: 22%

After reading the first book, The Wallflower, I wasn't so sure I would continue reading this series. Then it ended the way it did and though it gave me the ick I thought I would give the second book a chance to redeem itself.
Unfortunately, it hasn't and I couldn't continue further than 22%. The taboo trope continues with no explanation and more is revealed about Drew but he still is as toxic as ever. What makes it worse is Bel has become unlikeable. I know she is dealing with a lot but her character has become tiring to read about and I feel no connection to her. I'm not even rooting for her because she keeps falling for the same things as she did in the first book even though Drew hurt her so badly.
It's possible that things will get better but I can't continue with these characters, the unexplained secrets and the toxic relationships between them all.
