I'm going to review my favorite children's books from baby's nightstand. We love this book. The rhymes are catchy, you learn characteristics about different animals, and it's just fun.
This is a great book to sing and let the kids guess the animals
Clever, cute, fun. Catchy and illustrated very well.
Actually used the DVD for preschool films this week, which reminded me of the story. Unfortunately, the book was out so I couldn't use it for PJ story time or preschool story time this week. 5/6/13
This was one of the books selected for me to read in PJ Story Time. The preschool boy loved identifying the animals, and the younger girl joined in. 5/5/14
Bit long for the 2's.

A fun, classic read-aloud book with beautiful illustrations by Steven Kellogg. This one is paraticularly enjoyed by 3-5 year-olds.
I expected to not like this in the same way that I don't like "Are You My Mother?" which assumes that you must look like the person you consider to be your mother. But unlike "Are You My Mother?" the llama asking about everyone's mothers asks in such a way that it COULD be possible for one of the animals to say, "My mother is an adoptive mother- I'm a kitten and she's a dog!" Of course, none of that happens, but it leaves the possibility open, so that's nicer. And I like llamas.
