Aryi (Quinn) ♡ Vance

….

You know it’s no secret that Eden’s and Saxon’s books are my ultimate comfort reads and they just make me all jittery inside and happy.

This one was pure cuteness. I might not be original here with that word but in all its intents and purposes this book was just that - the epiphany of the word - cute.

It was simple and showed the best representation of that. How simple and good it can be. Little moments and the “just be”.

We sometimes rush around - looking for something, more and more and more but isn’t the “just” enough? Just be. Just have faith. Just support. Just together. Just fun. Just love.

Ps. …and I couldn’t be me without mentioning - give me a book with that much baby boo Asher (and that Kole moment) and bringing out Soren with J…. The joy!

(And I called on Bilson getting that dick eventually…. hope he does…. a good dicking down… no regrets

Loved this

This book was so sweet and in so funny! I laughed out loud quite a bit but Quinn and Vance were just too adorable. This series has been fantastic but this may be my fave of the lot.

This book was “ferfect”

[I received a digital arc for an honest review]

Clueless Puckboy is the newest book in the Puckboys series by Eden Finley and Saxon James. Ayri Quinn has been struggling with not only his injury but seeing the team’s physical therapist, Vance Landon. Quinn is finding it harder and harder to avoid Vance and when he is around him to act like a normal professional hockey playing adult. Vance has always been amused by Quinn’s oddities and it isn’t until he overhears locker room conversation that he starts to see the man in a whole other light. But with Quinn’s season in jeopardy and Vance’s position with the team the two find navigating a possible relationship harder than expected.

I want to start out by saying how sad it makes me to write that I didn’t love this book. I adore this series overall as well as the CU hockey series before it. Ayri Quinn is absolutely the bright point in this book. He had me from his first awkward scene sneaking away to meet with a different physical therapist to all his bumbling cuteness as he tries to interact with Vance. Vance on the other hand was not a character I connected with in any way. He had this down to earth mellowness that didn’t vibe with me and I kept finding myself just wanting more Quinn and less Vance. They had sexual chemistry for sure but that couldn’t make up for the fact that I found their relationship a bit lackluster.

He’s got this edge of innocence inside a big, muscled man that really does it for me. The baby face, the stache, the gold eyes hesitantly meeting mine from under his thick lashes.

I need to reiterate that it makes me sad to not have enjoyed this book nearly as much as the others in this series. The characters in the books before are all so strong and the men finding their perfect partners is usually a balance of steam, humor and heartache. That angst is what I felt was missing from this story. We had the humor in all that is Quinn’s awkwardness and the steam was there too but the emotion just lacked. Thank goodness for the Queer Collective in all their insanity bringing a bit of lightness and humor as well to this overall slow story.

3 stars for Vance and Quinn giving each other a chance.

The best part of this book was the Asher Dalton cameos.

Generously giving this a 3, but I was mostly bored while reading, I didn’t really connect with either MC, and the series is starting to feel like the same thing over and over again. That’s not to say that I didn’t enjoy previous books, Aleks and Gabe’s book is a favorite of mine, but I feel like the series is following a pattern and I’m no longer in the mood for it.

Another great book, just what you expect from these two authors. Clueless Puckboys is Quinn and Vance's story. It is a fun and fast read, full of cameos of our favourites from the Queer Collective.
Eden and Saxon have created an amazing world that is just so fun to dive into. Their books are always hard to put down, so you will just fly through this one, then be wondering what to read while you wait for the next book in the series.

If you can think of a way to insult a man’s mustache our boy Quinn has heard it. Being a baby face hockey player means he is doing the most be an adultier adult and that means we get the lip caterpillar. Thankfully our main man Vance is kinda into that. Vance is the polar opposite having his metaphorical ish together means that he is able to handle all the tantrums Quinn throws his way as they navigate being healthy adults who date and communicate. I love seeing all the Queer Collective cameos of past and present and got all the feel good vibes I expect from the Sadenverse.
funny lighthearted relaxing slow-paced

this series owns my heart and soul but this book!? they have my full being!

I really really REALLY cannot even begin to imagine how this shy naive hockey player forbidden PT MM romance could be any better! I promise it is a must-read. I binged it in one sitting and that has not happen in a VERY long time. Everyone please bump it up in your TBR, it was just THAT freaking good! It had me so giddy -- I am just thinking of how much of a massive crush Quinn had hehehehehe. oh my silly silly boy.

- hockey romance
- MM
- naive as hell hockey player
- forbidden romance
- forced proximity
- care scenes
- "get on my bed" scenes

Also y'all have no idea how happy I was to get that much Asherl Dalton (CU hockey series) back! I missed the queer collective and just this entire universe with my whole heart -- they just make me so happy.
