I loved Kid in Hawke so I was so excited for this book. While I loved Kai I honestly couldn't stand Han through a majority of the book. I felt like Kai deserved better.
Oh wow. And to think I wasn’t going to read this one because “Hawke” wasn’t my favorite. This was amazing. I think the conflicts of past trauma, addictions, relationships and how it’s okay to talk about it all was written beautifully. Even made me shed a tear. 4.5 ⭐️
My sweet, sweet, tortured Kai. I LOVED getting to see who Kid truly was through his own book. There’s so much darkness through this book with real world issues - drugs, self harm, suicide…. It was cathartic to see the characters really be forced to process through true darkness that so many people face day in and day out.
