The only reason I finished this book is because I listened to it as an audio book. Cringe

I really loved this one! The characters were very well written and well rounded. I feel like I could truly understand everyone's perspectives and reactions on how they were dealing with the accident. I really felt the emotional turmoil everyone was going through. I feel this is such an accurate representation of loss and especially losing someone so unexpectedly. I really I feel like the sadness was pouring out of the pages.
Spoiler ahead. Be weary.
This would have been a 5 star, but I knocked off 0.25 because I think it was unrealistic that ledger didn't really try to change Scotty's parents opinion of Kenna at all. He (half?) brought it up one time then never tried again. I understand that it would obviously be a touchy subject, but I really think he could have given an actual effort to try and start smoothing things over, especially as he was getting to know her.
Also, it taking him multiple months (maybe weeks? I think... uncertain of the time) to come to the realization that Diem could benefit from knowing her mother, especially given that she was starting to ask questions about her. Yes, she was loved by everyone else, and wasn't lacking in anything, but her starting to ask questions about her mom, means she was missing something. It's one thing if ledger had discovered Kenna to be the horrible person he thought she was, then obviously no benefit would come to Diem from meeting her, but him realising Keena was this kind person with a kind heart who made a mistake, I think makes it more apparent that Diem (and Keena) could benefit from meeting one another.
Anyways, definitely recommend this one!!

She does it again!!!
Always hooked from the start on her books - the characters, the storyline, the emotion….all of it!!
I’m usually not an emotional reader, I was crying at about 30% through….
What an amazing writer and story!

I AM TOO STUNNED TO SAY ANYTHING. IDK WHAT TO SAY OTHER THAN COLLEEN HOOVER, YOU MADE ME CRY AGAIN.
So. Many. Tears.
Omg this book was breaking my heart and Kenna, I love you so much, you deserve the whole world. I didn’t think my heart was ever going to get repaired

My expectations were probably too high cause it’s by THE Colleen Hoover. But not my fav. Still a good story but no crazy plot twist and don’t make me cry as expected
