Woah. Love this book so much. One of my new favourites. This book has graphic content but is written well. Loved the back and forth of past and present. We don't find out what the big bad thing is until the end, keeping you on the edge of your seat. Could not put down. Well done.

I absolutely adored every page of this book. Thoughtful, humorous and heartbreaking.
the emotion in this book... was done so fucking well. i could feel ingrids mothers depression and i felt ingrids anger and man i felt her dam frustration on the trip. i felt and related with ALL the emotions in this damn book (except the love, but i did find it very cute and wholesome). i have honestly never read a book that dealt and portrayed emotions as real and raw as this one. its actually incredible.
these 2 things are reflections of me, not the book so i didnt take away from the rating bc it truly is an incredible book, but
-i found myself wanting to skip the chapters of the “before” bc i wanted to read abt peak wilderness and the cliff hangers of some chapters
- i feel like both relationships were insta lovey bc we focused mainly on other things and it was like “oh btw, im attracted to u”, but that could be just the way i read it
overall, i definitely suggest this book. im amazed at how much i related to all the emotions of every character. especially when my own mother relies on me for her emotional well-being (which is not how the relationship is supposed to work, but i love her so fucking much anyway). such a real and raw book goddamn❤️

Tyvärr var den vackra titeln bättre än själva handlingen. Blev lite besviken. Stundtals bra men inget särskilt. Kanske riktad till yngre läsare än mig själv?

I just finished and I'm speechless. This book was incredible and, without spoilers, a twist or two I did not see coming. I would love to read sequels for a few characters. Ally and Jin fascinated me. I would reread the entire trek through their eyes and see their backstory.
Ingrid though...her character is flawed and beautiful and I fell in love with her.

If Starry Eyes is camping begins romanticized to the point where it almost sounds appealing to me (almost...), this book is my worst nightmare. I’ve never heard of this and picked it up from book outlet n I’m so beyond thrilled I did. This was not predictable, parts were but so much happens through out I can’t even think of it as such, and it takes a coming of age story in a completely different direction. I absolutely loved Ingrid n all her fucked up, emotionally damaged glory and loved watching her grow. I highly recommend to anyone who likes a good coming of age story and a horrifying camping romp with good adventure, fresh twists, and fun, unique characters.
