A enormous mansion with a dark history can have you second guessing things. Add in being pregnant and witnessing strange things with a husband that doesn’t believe you? Goodbye sanity.

1.5 rounded down…this book was absolutely terrible. The writing was horrible, the characters were terrible, and it took everything in me to even finish the book. Emma was the most pathetic, most whiny character ever. I almost gave up many times, but after wasting too much time, I’d had to see this through. 10/10 would not recommend.

*might* have gotten 2 if that last chapter didn't exist.

I contemplated DNFing this book at about 100 pages and I'm a little mad I didn't.

This book lacked atmosphere, I wanted spooky "is it haunted?" house and was never once spooked.

I didn't like any of the characters, except maybe JD, but then again, did I even know him?

The ending sealed it for me. Literally a waste of time.

This was actually a pretty decent book until the last chapter. I really couldn’t imagine how this book had such a low ratings and how everybody talked about the dreaded last chapter. But it was just so pointless and ridiculous and way too much way too fast. If this book was re-published without the last chapter, it would have much higher ratings.
