enjoyable!! but the focus on romance wasn't to my tastes, and the villain felt weirdly shallow.....still, a fun romp.

Very satisfying ending! Brought together all the main themes and motifs. It took me a while to get into it, but the final quarter of it was amazing and I loved the inclusion of the art at the beginning of each part. I thought the dynamic between Luc and Addie was incredible (I was less sold on Henry as a character, although I thought his choice of deal was nicely done.) The idea of her being remembered across history in art was a brilliant detail, and I was so excited when Bea recognised Addie across multiple paintings. Very tightly plotted. Good first book of the year!

I feel like this novel is a modern classic. The writing is absolutely spectacular and the details are immense. The story is so unique, following the highs and lows of Addie's life. I felt a million emotions at once, especially at the climax of the story. My heart broke and was repaired all at once!

2 for all the wasted time I'll never get back.
The ending a bit sad whatever, everything else a big meh. Why tf did she live 300 years for, just give your soul to the darkness or whatever if you are gonna live that kind of life. I would have been bored after 10 years max like girlie rob a bank or smth stop just meeting new guys or girls. Maybe I had very high expectations but my disappointment is very high too. I can not wait to read a book where smth actally happens yay bye.

I genuinely didn’t care about a single character other than Book.
