M. Never does it again! Stripped Bare is a story that grabs you from the prologue and doesn’t let go. The story has a great pace allowing the reader to settle in and enjoy the story and its characters. The imagery in this book can’t be beat. She has fresh ways of describing scenes.

This is a second chance romance about two people who were torn apart by unforeseen and unfortunate circumstances. One minute Alana found herself in love with Ryan. The next minute she found herself all alone.

Fast forward five years and Alana is at her
cousin’s Bachelorette party at New York City’s premium strip club Culture and low and behold who is the entertainment but Ryan himself. That is where the story takes off. These are two people who have lived their lives for others and according to others expectations not never really living for themselves. I’m a crowded city they felt alone. Despite the mountain of issues they had to work through, they did it with strength and tenacity. It was a beautiful story to read. It was a journey that I wished didn’t end.

Strip Me Bare was intense, full of drama and oh so sexy! Marissa Carmel really out did her self with this book. I loved Ryan, he wears his heart on his sleeve and isn't ashamed of it. I love that Alana accepts him for who he is and doesn't let anyone tear him down because of it, she is one fierce chick except when it comes to her daddy. Girl has some daddy issues, but don't we all. Reading Strip Me Bare was such an emotional roller coaster, one minute you were falling for Ryan, lusting for Jack and then crying for Alana. I've said it before and I'll say it again, when a book can pull on your emotions you know the author has done her job and done it well. I can't wait to read what Marissa Carmel comes up with next. I highly recommend Strip Me Bare to anyone who wants a steamy read with all the smexy to boot!

M. Never is a such a diverse storyteller and I always enjoy her books. What starts as a seemingly lighter romance, transpires into a deeper story about family expectations, first loves and second chances.

When the story opens we meet Alana and her gal pals as they enjoy a bachelorette party at an all male revue. Before we know if, Alana has stumbled upon her first and only love and now faces her past and the ever adoring Ryan. It doesn't take him long to convince Alana that he deserves, no that they deserve a second chance. From here on in the story is sexy and sweet as the two reconnect, but they are challenged by his family and a convoluted relationship he has with his brother, and Alana's father's expectations on her.

The story is perfectly paced and entertaining from the very start through to the wonderful epilogue.
4 Stars and recommendation!

This book grabbed my attention right from the start but it held my heart to the end! It was funny, sweet, emotional and so very hot and sexy! The prologue had me so intrigued, I wanted to find out more. It begins with Alana Remington going with her cousin and best friend to a male dance club for a bachelorette party. Alana seems to have it all, privileged upbringing, starting law school in fall, and her own beautiful apartment in the city. But the one thing she yearns for is the love of her life, Ryan Pierce, who disappeared without a trace 5 years earlier. When he turns up on stage as 'Jack The Stripper', her world is turned upside down. Ryan has secrets that he has kept from Alana. But now that he has found her again, he will stop at nothing to keep her. Ryan & Alana work hard to resolve their issues and make compromises in their lives to be together. But there are those who work to keep them apart and it might be for good this time. This refreshing and updated forbidden romance is a true gem. Alana and Ryan are both strong, caring, and loyal. They are so perfect together and their chemistry is explosive. This story is also filled with intriguing secondary characters, supportive, & adversarial, that make it feel genuine and honest. There are a few twists and turns that kept me engaged and anxious to see what happens next. I highly recommend this emotional, sweet & sexy romance!

I loved this beautifully written book of second chance love.
Alana is a straight laced serious young lady. She's always very conscious of every decision she makes. Due to her fathers very strict rules and rigid expectations of her. He's a sitting judge and has "a persona to uphold". Her dream is going to law school so she says and does what's expected of her so her father doesn't cut her off. The only time Alana felt like her true self was with the love of her life Ryan. She meet him five years previous. The day after she gave him a very special gift he disappeared.
Ryan is loyal, determined,so sweet, sexy and is also known as "Jack the Stripper"
He's got family issues that lead to a mess for him. His twin brother is always putting him in very difficult circumstances. The next day after he and Alana are together he again finds himself in a jam due to good old brother.
Five years later Alana and Ryan meet in the most jaw dropping of circumstances. I loved that part.
Ryan has a lot of explaining to do and Alana has to decide if she's willing to risk her heart again.
They have many difficulties and obstacles to get through and over.
Strip Me Bare is filled with so much emotion. It's a sexy passionate edge of your seat read.
Ms. Never never fails to deliver in her books.
The story and plot are always outstanding and the characters fabulous and this one is no exception!
I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy

Wtf kind of hell did I just endure?? This book was one of the worst I have ever had the displeasure of reading. Both Alana and Ryan are fricken annoying as hell and don't get me started on how corny this book is. It has the whole "I'm rich as hell kind of girl falling in deep love with a poor guy, and I can't tell my dad because he'll stop paying for everything I own" kind of vibe.

Alana is in law school and is an uptight spoiled bitxh who was in love with a kid named Ryan who broke her heart after they had sex because she woke up in the morning and he was gone. She has a lot of trust issues to go along with it, but she never had any problems trusting Ryan, both in the past and present. She also claims she can't cry due to the death of her mother. She is also spoiled as hell and doesn't want to tell her dad any bad news about her life or do "anything wrong" because she doesn't want him to stop paying for her law school and bills. (eye-fcuking-roll). Wow. Seriously? Almost everyone who goes through school doesn't have their rich little parents holding their hand while they go through life. Pay for your own damn shit and grow up. And the worst part is that people actually think she is like a saint and so 'responsible'. You got to be fcuking kidding me? Through this whole book, I wanted to shove a pen in my eye, it would have been less painful to endure.

Ryan is just as bad, he literally feeds her fcuking ego by saying shit like you're too good for me, you could do better and all that other crap. Like fuck off! Seriously. It's annoying as fuck. Ryan is also known as Jack the stripper and always defends his brother. He's desperately in love with Alana and never forgot about her. Awe, can I puke now?!?

This book is intended for low level audiences because I swear to god, it's made for retards. Like when Alana gets in her car she puts an address in her GPS and get this! The voice that cones out sounds robotic!!! What?!? I know the shock. I felt the exact same way. I totally didn't know or need to know that the voice coming out of your stupid GPS is robotic. And the worst part is when tragedy hits Ryan, and Alana asks if he's okay with knowing about who passed away. No! a normal person would not be fucking okay! Stupid Bitch! But that not all because they are not fucking normal, get this, he says yea, as long as I have you. Fucking idiots.

Seriously, I must have read the wrong book because there is no way in hell that anyone could ever give this book a 4 star or higher. It was that bad.

It was a good read. Kept me interested. It was a little jumpy I that it skipped ahead and missed some time periods. Overall good read.
