I really enjoyed this book. I actually read it in a day.
It takes you on a ride that makes you question and wonder what the truth is. And when you get to the end you will be surprised at what the truth is

I had a very hard time getting into/finishing this book. And while I did like the main character, some of the supporting ones didn't work as well for me.
The mystery itself didn't hook me right away, but I liked Flynn enough to want to know what happened. The book definitely kept my attention in parts, if not overall.

Flynn’s girlfriend, January, has gone missing. Her friends at her new school have stories that don’t make sense and the police are asking questions that Flynn doesn’t feel comfortable answering. Everyone is looking to Flynn to explain her absence, but he doesn’t know anything. Can Flynn uncover the truth about what happened to January? Will he need to expose his own secret in order to prove his innocence?
Last Seen Leaving is a stand-alone mystery that will hook readers at the start and keep them turning pages throughout. Flynn is easy to sympathize with and as the mystery begins to unravel, readers will try and stay a step or two ahead of him. Roehrig has written an ending that is not easily guessed and I was quite happy with how everything finished. A good escape read for those who are tired of young adult series fiction.

LAST SEEN LEAVING by Caleb Roehrig is a compelling & unexpectedly thrilling read about a boy whose girlfriend suddenly goes missing. This book was full of twists & turns that kept me guessing (and gasping) to the very last page.
Flynn is a fascinating, complex, and layered main character. Although I guessed (as many readers likely will) his secret early on, it was absolutely mesmerizing to watch his journey unfold. What a brave way to explore issues of growing up and self-discovery under the most extreme circumstances.
Bravo! Extremely well written. Beautiful character development. An absolute must read!
Note: I received a FREE ARC (advanced reader copy) from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

That was really good! I couldn't put it down. I love twisty thrillers and love when I'm surprised by the twists. Really enjoyed Flynn's character arc as well as he is finally honest with himself about his sexuality. I wish I cared about January, the missing girl in question, more but tbh her lies pissed me off. There is also one spoilery thing that bugged me too but is super minor. overall, would def recommend if you're looking for a great YA thriller!
Finished this today. Great thriller. Kept you guessing until the end. Solid 🏳️🌈 GLBT storyline.
I received a copy of this ebook from NetGalley.
From the very start of this book I had a 'Gone Girl'/'Girl on the Train' vibe and I have to say that it didn't disappoint! The characters are mostly teens and the storyline is slightly less gruesome but all in all felt very similar to those books. Maybe because I've read enough stories with a 'big twist' I mostly saw what was coming but was surprised a enough times to keep me engaged. The flow of the story is very fast (I read this in one day) and definitely had a hard time putting it down near the end! There are a few open ends to the story that I would have liked some answers to but for the most part it wrapped up quite nicely.
For Lydia: nr-language is pretty rough (quite a few uses of the f-word, b-word, etc); talk about teen sex, rape, few kissing scenes; b/b relationships; Flynn has great relationship with his parents which is really nice to see but January has a pretty messed up home life

This was a solid page-turner, and I appreciated the LGBT lead! The dialogue was a little stilted and corny, though, and the twist could be seen from a mile away. Still, it was a fun read!
Flynn is a high school sophomore whose ex-girlfriend, January, is reported missing. The breakup was a relatively recent turn of events, so he becomes a prime suspect. In an effort to discover the truth, and clear his name, he uncovers a number of discrepancies. January had been lying to him and just about everyone he "interviews" about her disappearance.
In addition to the mystery, the book focuses on Flynn coming to terms with who he is as an individual. I loved his personality and sense of humor from the beginning, but admitting the truth allowed him the chance to finally be himself. He was essentially forced to come out and wasn't prepared, but I felt like Roehrig did an excellent job of portraying Flynn's feelings and experiences in a very realistic manner. Everything wasn't champagne and roses and I certainly wouldn't expect it to be.
