4 stars…
Hi not to get political but I wasn’t sure how I felt about reading about a cop male protagonists (if you catch my drift) but this book actually made me feel much more relaxed. Don’t get me wrong, a man in uniform saving people is hot… but that uniform I usually prefer to be a firefighter for obvious reasons.

Honestly if the main heroine had been a black woman I think I would have liked the issues they tackled even more. I would love for a black woman’s perspective dating a cop who is trying to be better, and if that is even possible. Besides the point….

Book was very spicy, I thought the concept was very different. I heard babies and heard all of booktok screaming about the dreaded “pregnancy trope” in the back of my head but I think the word unplanned vs planned naked a big difference.

I surprisingly really liked the male main character except for when I heard about his sexual escapades. Now don’t get me wrong, I am under no circumstances trying to shame this man for sex, I just also felt like he was a little slimy about it. Idk, the trio thing with the hand cuffs? Kinda hate that he made a phrase for it that everyone knew.

At one point he mentioned a usual joke he’d use on a woman being “I’ve had a lot of practice” or something to the effect and I was thinking if I was in the situation and a man said that to me, I’d be out the door so fast… don’t mention how many woman you get, it’s tacky and would be a total turn off.

Anyways the spice was hot and the ending was good but honestly I’m not sure this man knows how to settle down. Id be really nervous in real life that he’d cheat.

3/5 on spice. 1/5 on kink. 2/5 on tears. Check trigger warnings for pregnancy complications and anything like that.

🌶🌶/5

No matter how much this book attempted to humanize cops, I just could t get past it. I almost DNF’d it a couple times.
Pregnancy trope & hot cop trope just aren’t for me, I guess.

Hot and hotter. With a heavy breading kink but y'all already expected that. All I'll say is I thought this was going to be just smut fest and it was but we got a really good story and nicely developed characters as well.

This was so spice.

I got a good deal for this on audible. I love listening to these sort of books.

This was pretty much your basic commitment-phobes falling for each other when they do not want to.

Was it predictable?

It was a fun, hot read with a HOT HOT male character that would do anything to just be WIRH the heroine, kind of reformed playboy, but we DONT see him playing anyone there so

I've been speeding in my car. Lots of times. Chase needs to come and arrest me. He can cuff me too and then bake me some Cherry scones with actual clotted cream. I jaywalk all the time too, although we just call it crossing the street! I'm so bad, I should be arrested. Cuff me now.

I'm in love with a hot cop, a hot cop who wants to make babies with his super sperm. I even asked Mr C if he would knock me up, but he pointed out that I made him get the snip so he no longer has the right equipment.

I always wanted to be a librarian, it's my dream job. Tidying books, organising books, buying books, reading books, the Dewey decimal system. I want Livia Ward's life please. Miaow, call me Kitten.

Hot Cop is a super read. Similar in style to Pornstar - hot, funny with an underlying message. Laurelin - and I don't actually know which bits she writes and which bits are Sierra's, writes less gritty in her collaborations. I like the grit but I love the funny too. Sierra is part minx!

"You have the right to remain sexy. Anything you say can and will be used to get you in my bed. You have the right to use my body to give yourself a delirious life changing orgasm. If you have trouble...don't worry, I'm a bit of an expert in that department."

Officer Goodtimes, yes please!
