Boring, repetitive and predictable. Great children's book as it promotes stealing! Wooo!

Hva gjør man ikke for kjærligheten ...
funny fast-paced

Quite a cute children's story of you ignore that the relationship between Mr Hoppy and Mrs Silver was built on his deception of the tortoise kind, but I was glad that the tortoise was very happy by the end. I do wonder what would happen when Mrs Silver finds out about the ploy. It is a fun little story for very young children, would make a good bedtime story I think (this was one of the first books I read when I learnt to read, I'm revisiting all the Roald Dahl's children's books)

Roald Dahl always sparks joy. Though stories must be taken with a grain of salt. Don’t let kids go round believing it’s ok to swap out tortoises.

I read this with a constant smile on my face because it was so lovely: I loved the cute storyline and the characters and also the surprising symbolics, and of course Dahl's magical language!
