I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about Ramona not being the bb anymore but i enjoyed this one as much as the rest of the series.

Read to Isabel: Not my favorite installment bc it didn’t have as much hidden depth as the others but still fun and Isabel really enjoyed it.

My most recent attempt to learn what's in store for me with my own Ramona, my 9-month old granddaughter.

Ramona in the book is in third grade. The household experiences some upsets in that her father is trying to find a job, but the only offer he has is in southwestern Oregon, near Idaho and sheep country. Her delightful Aunt Bea gets engaged to the uncle of Ramona's friend, Howie. The uncle has just come back from Saudi Arabia, and might (or might not) be a rich uncle. Ramona isn't sure she appreciates his sense of humor. Oh, and then, Ramona's mother gets pregnant, and Ramona has to worry about whether or not her parents will still love her once they have someone else in their lives. And so on.

Another charmingly endearing book. Perhaps all Ramonas are endearing, or perhaps it's just my granddaughter, Ramona, and also Ramona Quimby.

I feel like Charlotte loved this Ramona book as much as she loved Beezus and Ramona back when she was kindergarten aged, and that's a good thing. I'm glad I made the choice for her to grow up at the same rate as Ramona.

After feeling that her parents pay Mrs Kemp to watch Ramona when Ramona is expected to watch Willa Jean and is censured whenever Willa Jean acts up and gets into trouble, Ramona convinces her parents that she and Beezus can stay home by themselves after school.

They do have a bumpy start and are doing their best not to worry their mother, as they have suspicions about why she is tired and sometimes sick. They take matters into their own hands when something happens to their cat Picky-picky.

Meanwhile, Howie's Uncle Hobart and their aunt reconnect, and suddenly there is a wedding to plan before they leave for Alaska.

Ramona's practically grown up and in the third grade. Howie's rich uncle is coming home from Saudi Arabia and Ramona is dying to find out what he's like. Things at the Kemps after school are as bad as ever, and Willa Jean is as annoying as ever. Somehow Ramona and Beezus manage to convince their parents that they can stay home together after school! No more Kemps! And then there's that one other little thing--Ramona's mother ir pregnanat! Ramona's not going to be the baby anymore--how will she ever handle being the middle child? And finally, who on earth is sweet Aunt Bea marrying? It can't be that horrible man...

This is the last Ramona book that I remember reading. I don't think that I ever read the last one, Ramona's World. This one is good, with lots of things going on; but unfortunately Ramona is growing up and her lovable goofs are fewer. But at least Ramona gets to be a bridesmaid! And a big sister!
