this is the first book I've read in a long time that actually made me feel something. i loved the intricacies of the characters and how everyone was connected in their own ways. community starts somewhere.
my only gripe isthat after the hostage scenario truth was revealed the remaining bit of the book seemed to drag out. I kept thinking that it would be the end and it would keep going, lol. but, I loved hearing about the afterwards of each of the hostages and the bank robber.
it's kind of funny how Zara was my least favorite for most of the book but ended up being the character I was rooting for in the end.
I'm so excited to read more by Frederick backman, I'm obsessed with his writing style.

one of the best if not the best book i have ever read. everything was perfect. the variety of chapter length, the character development, the different perspectives, the feeling of getting to know the characters, the perfectly placed inside jokes that makes you feel like you’re in on something special, just PERFECT. the humor is AMAZING and oh my god i had the lowest expectations for this book but it has blown me away.
