This was another solid offering from this author! I loved the sarcastic humor and the bad puns! It was a fun read. I would like to have seen more romance between Maddy and Wes but enjoyed the story nonetheless.

Thank you for the privilege of reading this book! Well done ❤️

Who is Wesley Moon? What does he do for a living? What is he best known for? When interviewed about it, what does he say? How does Jules, the interviewer, try to spin his comments? Who is Madelyn Wall and what does she do for a living? What is Virtual Generation? By Chapter 3, I was shaking my head in disbelief about Mick. Madelyn's roommate Layla is plain crazy....I'm not sure if that is good or bad. Wesley is a trip! I really like him. This was my first book in this standalone series and now I want to read more!

Milkman is another wonderfully charming, hilarious, and steamy romance in Ryan's Man Cave series! Both Wesley and Madelyn have career and life goals that keep alluding them. Madelyn is living with a friend who uses her to start up new businesses and Wesley had a mom who forced him to use his looks instead of his brain. They are stuck on a path that is frustrating and they don't know how to change directions. No matter how hard they try to fix their situations, things just never work the way they want them to. But that path lead them to each other. Despite the awkward reason, they are very attracted to each other. Their back and forth lead to some crazy sexual tension and explosive chemistry. This steamy, slow burn romance is sweet, hilarious, awkward, and heartfelt. It is filled with witty banter, lovably, quirky characters, awkward moments and lots of heart. Don't miss this latest standalone rom-com in the Man Cave series!

This is a smart uniquely funny love story. I really enjoyed it. Really relatable story line about being really lost in your 20s and having a bunch of missed connections and missed opportunities. Wesley and Maddy will have you laughing until your sides hurt. Its so sweet and fun, with just a hint of dirty. I loved the banter between these two, and I loved the toxic relationship with Maddy and Layla. So good, can't wait to see what this author comes out with next!

A quirky romance that meets all the traditional requirements

Maddie Wall meets Wesley Moon (yes, their initials form a palindrome which oddly was not mentioned in the book) at an ill-fated shoot for a breast milk ad where he sports a milk-tash. Sparks fly as Twitter explodes, leaving them both looking for a career change while pursuing a slow-simmer romance between them.

Both of the main characters are fun, funny and intelligent. We learn a little more about Maddie’s past at first than we do of Wesley’s, but we soon learn that they are of a like mind when it comes to reading self-help books. Clearly, they are in the wrong jobs, but what will become of them as they attempt to improve their lives and will their new-look worlds include each other?

Maddie’s roommate provides some side plot as she thinks up her latest internet business venture and ropes both protagonists into her plans at one time or another. Yet, she is not a likeable character, and in fact, I can’t think of a single supporting character in this book who is.

Surprisingly, given the other books in this series, the sex is rather lackluster or non-existent as our heroes follow their paths to a better life.

A personal note here: My pet peeve of the use of the word ‘moron’ to describe oneself or another doing something rather stupid is not needed in a PC world where a thesaurus is only a Google search away.

Still, the romance is fun and I did particularly enjoy the ending, before the epilogue. Romance lovers will enjoy this quirky light read.

This was a bit of a miss for me. I always enjoy Shari Ryan’s books/ writing and I liked the concept of the story, the grown up Milk Man but I just couldn’t connect fully with Wesley. I enjoyed his POV but then some things he did (or didn’t do but should have) in Madelyn POV just didn’t fit with his character for me at times. I like a hero with a little bit more drive too. He should have gone after his dream sooner. So I guess my favorite part of this book was the last 5-10% or so. But like I said I liked many of Shari Ryan’s stories and I will continue to read more form her.
