As someone who is openly not a fan of contemporary romance, I absolutely adored this book. It was missold to me as a romantic comedy which I honestly disagree that it was: instead it tells a lovely coming of age story about a young man struggling to find his feet at a prestigious school when his rival doesn't seem to have the same issues. 

What I liked: The silliness of the teenage boys. They all felt like real people, developed personalities and they are all so kind to each other. 

What I disliked: I actually would have liked this book to be longer. I wanted to know more about Charlie and Jasper and STRIP. They're a hilarious ragtag group and I wish they'd been around a little bit longer. 

This is a fantastic novel, and I'm delighted to have it as part of my collection.

Not sure how this is a romance book when there’s barely any romance or chemistry between the main character and his love interest. MC spent more time with pointless and annoying side characters than he did with his love interest - and since they’re roommates you’d think we’d see some more scenes than them just writing pointless poems together. I’ve read slow burn but this was just slow, no burn.
