I hadn’t read this classic before but had seen a film adaption of it so I sort of knew the story going in. I liked this book so much more than the movie!
Anne is very likable as a main character and I enjoyed getting to stay with her character throughout. Like all Austen works there are characters that are meant to be unlikable and lots of commentary on the time. This felt like the perfect length for the plot. I throughly enjoyed reading this and will most likely read it again and again!

honestly i don't get the hype. like all the "romance" was in the last quarter of the book and like i love me some tension & yearning but this fell flat. i did like anne a lot though, like not everyone falling in love with her and she barely noticed. hopefully the movie's good.
