Valentine has given us another solid romance with this one. The writing is excellent, good enough to make me forget how much I have first person POV and done with the right amount of character development and introspection.
This particular story tugged on my heartstrings because I genuinely loved Deacon and found myself really feeling for him as the invisible child. The complete lack of gay panic could have come off as unbelievable but Valentine wrote it in a way that I was willing to buy in to it and get caught up in the genuine desire felt between our two MC's. After having read several of her books, I would be bold enough to say this is probably my favorite. She does tend to tackle heavy topics and this is the first book of hers where I really felt like the resolution took most of the real life probable concerns into account.
The smut was not super explicit but it was well written and definitely leaned on the relationship and the feelings between our two MCs to make the scenes give the reader a hit of endorphins.

Well I can say that is a journey! You will cry multiple time but the end is so worth it! These men are so beautiful and so deserving to be loved and cherished even if they don't realize it. Such a beautiful story and not one that will ever leave me.
Julian lost his best friend and lover, Deacon lost his brother, together they will make a new family, if they can get bast the heartache. Deacon has never been appreciated by his family, Julian was alwasy loved by his family more than him, after Rhetts death, deacon must decide is it worth the pain still.
Audiobook done by Teddy Hamilton & Tim Paige, top notch performances from both men.
