The only bit I wasn’t a fan of, was there not reading of Rhett’s letters to Julian.

Rhett spent his energy and love while he was dying writing those letters. They should’ve been read

This is fantastic. Its heartfelt, poignant, deeply emotional and sad, but equally joyous, hopeful, and sweet. The plot is well paced and realistic, I never felt rushed or that the relationship  was shallow.

I did dislike the sexist remarks about emotional and liking dick meaning he grew a vagina at the 80ish percent mark but that was the only instanc  of sexism. I wish we had heard what Rhett wrote in his letter to Julien. It was really nice to hear Rhett's letter to Deacon so I expected we'd get Julien's too and was disappointed we didn't.
I deeply appreciate that Deacon doesn't have a relationship with his mom after she slapped him.  I'm getting really tired of books where the parents are toxic and hurt the main characters deeply and repeatedly but the mcs still bridge the gap and have a good relationship after. Its incredibly refreshing that Deacon recognizes how awful she was to him and that he doesn't have to put up with her any longer.

I love everything about this story. Is kind of a forbidden MM romance but, these two were made for each other. It made my heart full watching these two find and heal each other throughout the story. I just wish Deacon's mother wasn't so stubborn. Please read this. It's a beautiful story to read.

Again the “straight” mc is too quick to accept his not so straight feels for other mc. Also the side characters were to bland.

So so good!
It had me laughing out loud one minute and crying my eyes out the next.
Absolutely loved how it showed every character in the book dealing with grief a different way.

Also yay for no third act break up
